TYPES OF PAINT PALETTES

There are a lot of types of paints and here two main categories for it:

WET PALETTE

This type of palette is usually composed of the following:
- main palette/container
- foam to hold the water
- palette paper where you will put your paint

PROS:

- ideal for painting jobs that will take a while, it will keep your paints moist and usable for a period of time
- easy to clean since you just need to replace your palette paper
CONS:

- you need to make sure you cover when you pause painting
- more expensive
- you need to maintain the foam so molds won't develop

HARD PALETTE

This type of palette is usually simple, it can be any container
where you can pour your paint.
PROS:
- easier to wash or clean
- cheaper
- available in regular bookstores or art suppliers stores
- good to use with more fluid paints like the Arcus Quick Shade CONS:

RECOMMENDED PALETTE TYPE: WET PALETTE

Since it extends your paint life on the palette by keeping your paint moist, wet palettes are recommended, but you can always use what works best for you be it the wet or hard palette. If you decide to go with the wet palette, here are options for you:
