Arcus Professional Colours have slightly varying viscosity levels depending on the color. Even though all colors use the same type of paint binder, the amount differs depending on how much we want to preserve a color’s saturation. The thicker or more viscous an acrylic paint can be, that would also mean lesser color vibrancy depending on the pigment, but it can be more opaque. On the other hand, a more fluid color can be more saturated. Pigments have different characteristics also depending on the color and type which can also be a factor on viscosity.
These are the levels of viscosity of the colors included in the basic set:
